Waccamaw River
The beautiful Waccamaw River flows across Horry County from its northern boundary of North Carolina to its southern boundary at Georgetown County. For miles and miles along the banks of the black water sprawling live oak trees thrive in an array of Spanish moss. Along these shores was the traffic of vessels carrying sacks of rice from the plantations to other ports. The Waccamaw is an integral link of the Intra-coastal Waterway which winds its way from Maine to Florida.South Carolina Wills and Estates
