Immigrants to SC

As the influx of immigrants from Great Britain entered the colonies, things did not always turn out as expected.  Sometimes, those who booked passage to Massachusetts or Virginia, ended up in the Carolina's.  This is due to storms, sandbars, and the general inaccuracies of charted and uncharted waters.  If your last discovered ancestor was found in South Carolina, for example, you might also check the passenger lists and immigration books for Virginia and New England.  Relatives split up, some going to New England while others went further South.
